Problem: How to tackle Digital Marketing
Douglas James is on a mission to help small businesses change the way they do digital marketing by merging traditional marketing means with the digital world. After spending some time in the military as a corpsman, he realized his calling in life: to help people. Even to this day, his goal for his digital marketing platform is to help businesses and business owners get seen, so they can help the public. Today he’s here to talk about how to tackle digital marketing and how to do so in a more meaningful way.
The Steps to Tackling Local Marketing Through Digital Means
In order to develop the right mindset for digital marketing, you have to take a step back and look at what type of consumers you want and find a way to engage with them. Douglas James has honed a three-step process to do just that.
Step 1: Engage
The first thing you have to do with a customer or client is to engage with them.
We’ve created cool billboard style ads. Something you might see on the side of the road–it could be a video of a guy dancing in a hotdog suit. Someone clicks on the video and they think, “Oh, I am interested in getting my carpets cleaned inside my home.”
Step 2: Educate
In order to educate, Douglas backs up his ad with the science and data to really bring in clients. While the techniques he uses to engage you might be the hook, this is really the meat of the ad.
People love data. They love science. They love numbers.
Step 3: Dominate
The domination phase is scale. According to Douglas, the fastest way to grow any business is to educate your consumers on your product and give them value.
And if you’re able to do that, you have generated a higher buyer intent consumer, not just someone who is scrolling, right?
